Contact two members of this CW active group, maintain contact for at least 30 minutes using a speed of at least 150 letters per minute. Ask for recommendation to their headquarters. Apply with contact information with SAE and 3 IRCs plus a statement that you have not used key boards, decoders, or computers assisting you. Current members of VHSC, SHSC and EHSC only need one recommendation. Honorary membership in this group is given with the award. Issued by the Macedonian DX Group (MDXG) to amateurs and SWL's for contacting Macedonia stations after 1 Jan 1990 on any band or mode. Requirements: DX stations need 5 EU need 10, Z3 need 15.

MACEDONIA

 "Skopje 1963" Award

Awarded for contacted stations in Skopoje each year during the period of 1 to 7 June. This award is in memory of a week of solidarity commemorating the July 26, 1963 earthquake which destroyed this city. Z3 need 10 different Skopje stations, other Europeans 5 and all others 3. No QSLs needed, only a log extract. No band or mode restrictions apply. If won 2 years in a row, you will automatically receive a "Plaque of Solidarity" at no charge. There is no fee for the award, but 3 IRCs are needed to cover postage. Apply to Z3 Awards Manager, PO Box 14, 91001 Skopje, Macedonia.


MALAYSIA                                  

WORKED ALL MALAYSIAN AWARD (WAMA)

The Malaysian Amateur Radio Transmitters' Society (MARTS) issues the WORKED ALL MALAYSIAN AWARD (WAMA) to radio amateurs and SWLs who work/heard and confirm the following:
1. Ten 9M2/9W2/9M4 (club/special event stations originating from West Malaysia)
2. One 9M6/9W6/9M4 (club/special event stations originating from Sabah)
3. One 9M8/9W8/9M4 (club/special event stations originating from Sarawak)

The award and endorsements are issued for 2 way SSB, RTTY, CW, PSK, Mixed or single band, mixed or single mode. All contacts must be made after August 31st 1957. The Award Committee has the right to reject and return any application that are found not genuine and of foul play.

Prove contact on any band and mode with the following call areas:

1. Two West Malaysia 9M2.
2. Two Sarawak 9M8.
3. Two Sabah 9M6
4. One expedition with BARC logo or callsign 9M6BRC or other local club 9M0.

 


MALTA 

Malta Amateur Radio League Series

General Requirements: Awards are available to amateurs and SWL's. Applications may be downloaded from their website.   Indicate if a band or mode endorsement is needed. No crossband QSOs.  Complete application which may be found on the webiste. Send photocopies of cards or GCR list and fee of 10 via registered mail for all stations.  QSOs on or after 1 Jan 2000. All bands 1.8 to 1296 MHz. Apply to: Awards Manager, MARL, PO Box 575, Valletta, Malta.

Diploma Mediterranean Award

On HF, work all 30 listed Mediterranean countries, 9H being mandatory.  The countries are: Albania, Algeria, Balearic Is., Bosnia, Ceuta-Melilla, Corsica, Crete, Croatia, Cyprus, Dodecanese Is., Egypt, France, Gibraltar, Greece, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Monaco, Morocco, Montenegro, Palestine, Sardinia, Slovenia, Sovereign Bases of Cyprus, Spain, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey.

 Malta Award

Work Maltese stations on 8 different bands confirmed by QSLs.  The bands which may be used are 160M, 80M, 40M, 30M, 20M, 17M, 15M, 12M, 10M, 6M, 2M.  Two of the QSOs must have been with 9H1MRL or 9H1MRL/P. Copies of the QSL cards must be submitted, the side with QSO information. Your call sign must be verifiable, either on an internet database like QRZ or HamCall.   No Cross Band contacts may be used.

Contact different Gozo, Malta (9H4) stations since 1 Aug 1972. Europeans need 8, all others 5. No band or mode limitations. Free to Blind/Handicapped hams. GCR list and 12 IRCs, $3US or equivalent currency to: Mr. George Galea, St. Joseph, St. Lucia Street, Kercem, Gozo, Malta.
