Awards can be claimed in three categories:

If you qualify for an award you can click on the award application button "Apply for WWFF-H" (for the hunter award) or "Apply for WWFF-A" (for the activator award).

Note that we cannot accept other sources than the WWFF LogSearch (like QSLs, LoTW, eQSL) for award application. The awards are all provided as digital image files, and NO COST. When I followed these instructions, it was amazing to see how many contacts I had made with "activators" over the past 6-7 years. Their activators are very good about sending in data to help you with these awards. Note that some of the countries which offer WWFF type certificates and are associated with this main group will require payment for their COUNTRY awards. Most are modest and worth the cost.

ISRAEL                                              Amateur Radio On Israel National Trail - 4X4Trail

The Israel National Trail, is a hiking path that was inaugurated in 1995. The trail crosses the entire country of Israel. Its northern end is at Dan, near the Lebanese border in the far north of the country, and it extends to Eilat at the southernmost tip of Israel on the Red Sea, a length of 1,100 km (680 mi).  The trail is marked with three stripes (white, blue, and orange), and takes an average of 45-60 days to complete. It does not enter the Golan Heights or the West Bank. The Israel National Trail has been listed in National Geographic's 20 most "epic trails." It is described as a trail that "delves into the grand scale of biblical landscapes as well as the everyday lives of the modern Israeli." Since January 2016, the Israel National Trail can be explored on Google Street View. Israel National Trail on Google Street View.

When you hear the special call sign 4X4TRAIL on the air, it means an operator is activating from one of the 46 sections of Israel National Trail. Usually the operator will give the section number as a suffix e.g. if the activation is from "Mount Tabor", which is in the 8th section of the trail, he will be calling as 4X4Trail/8. Radio operators that would work this special call sign, may ask for a nice certificate (The activators are responsible for uploading their logs so you don’t have to submit any QSO data.)

We will issue awards to stations working 10, 20, 30 and all 46 "Israel National Trail" sections.
Their website has a place to enter your call sign to see how many of the trail sections you have completed.

Not much information other than as presented here.
Nor are there specific instructions for applying that I could find, nor any e-mail address..

A picture  truly is worth a thousand words.  To the left is a part of a French map showing the locations of Abbeys of Saint Michael with a good example of the lines created by connecting lines from placement of the structures.  The award sample is on the right.

More information:
This is an excerpt from the web pages shown below which gives some clues to the unusual alignment of St. Michael Abbeys on maps.  Click on the link to get a better understanding of the placement of these religious structures which seems more planned than coincidence:

The St. Michael Alignment is arguably the most prominent and intriguing of the many ley lines that criss-cross Britain. It runs in a straight line between Land's End, England's southwestern extremity, and Hopton-on-Sea, on the Norfolk coast. Its name derives from the many sites devoted to St. Michael that it touches or skirts on its 350-mile course - and from its orientation: the direction of the sunrise on May 8th, when the Latin liturgy celebrates… the Apparition of St. Michael.

In spite of their supposed antiquity and the bewildering multitude of esoteric theories associated with them, ley lines have been (re)discovered only relatively recently, and were initially described in mainly exoteric [1] terms.

SWEDEN                                        SWEDISH LAKES (SMS)

The rules for this award are in Swedish, and the translation is not as good as I would hope. Basically, the goal is to contact stations in Sweden who are on the air from locations near or close to lakes of Sweden. The activator stations are required to send logs of contacts made to the website www.svenskasjoar.se and you should register at the website to have access to the records of your contacts. There are no costs involved. No e-mail address is provided, and all transactions should be handled via WWW.

1. Purpose: The competition called SMS is to stimulate amateur radio, encouraging physical activity and recreation.
2. Organizer - The initiator and owner of SMSs is SM6CJJ, Jan Johansson and SM6TOB, Bengt Karlsson.
3. Participant - Anyone with a valid amateur radio license can participate.
4. The Activity - To carry out the greatest number of confirmed QSOs with at least one station in a SMSs area (lake).
5.Registration - Participants in SMSs registering at the website www.svenskasjoar.se which is where also all QSOs logged.
6. Frequency - According to IARU band plan. All modes allowed. But QSOs made via repeater or remote transmitters are not approved for the station in the area.
7. Call Frequencies (kHz) -
          SSB      CW
          7085    7020
          3740    3540
8. Look for: Appropriately called the CQ Swedish Lakes.
9. Logging of QSO: The station located in the vicinity of the Swedish lake must transmit information about each QSO logged on SMSs website within 14 days. The other station making QSOs must accurately log in the correct time in order to match the activating station with a time differentc of no more than 60 minutes. You can not delete confirmed logs.
10. Scoring: each unique contact is at least 1 point where a station is in a SMSs. [STN1 + SMSs] in QSO with [STN2] = 1 point each.
11. Overall Provision for the activating station: The transmitter and the antenna (all the equipment) shall be located no more than a maximum of 50 meters from the lake and the current one should be portable or mobile to be able to count double points. It the lakeshore is impossible to enter (eg marsh), the activator should decide what is reasonable. You may be located anywhere around the current lake. In any case, common sense and good competitive spirit rules. It is only possible to broadcast from a lake at a time.
12. Charges: There is no cost to participate.
13. Sponsor: Our main sponsor is Limmareds Radio & Data .
14. Charts: SMSs competition has no set end but a dynamic leader board (such as the ARRL’s annual list of verified DXCC countries) which shows the most points. This means practically that a participant can be active at a certain period and then again take up the activity a year later with the previously obtained points. Your total score always increases.
15 Sitting commitee: The activity is led by a steering committee consisting of SM6CJJ Jan, SM6TOB Bengt and SA5MMM Lennart.
16. Support: The support does not change logs and missing confirmations. Suggestions for new features are welcome at info (at) svenskasjoar.se.
17. Rule changes: The organizers may need to change the rules in which case announced on the blog.
18. Sportsmanship: Sponsors expect all participants to honor the amateur Code of honor and at all times use common sense.

UKRAINE                                                   Frogs Travelers Club

This whimsically named award is issued for contacts with expeditions of the EN7P club which is based in Volyn, the land of lakes in Ukraine. According to Wikipedia, there are more than 220 lakes, 130 rivers and in most cases there are many swamps in this territory! Our proverb says: "Every frog praises his own swamp!". Therefore, we chose the frog as a symbol of our club.  The club team is involved in radio expeditions which operate in the vicinity of rivers, lakes, swamps and just enjoy outdoor activities. More information at http://qrz.com/db/en7p .

The club has proved that the beauty of the homeland saves us from boredom better than magnificent beaches. Their activations do not need more than one day to set up and operate on such locations.
They enjoy taking their equipment on their shoulders and go anywhere to complete these activations, often on weekends. Look for EN7P, it is the only call they use and should be easy to recognize.

The Basic Diploma is issued for contacting /SWL with three different locations.
Their official list of references they use is found at http://qrz.com/db/en7p .

The Diploma is free and is sent to the applicant's e-mail in * .jpg format.
