Europe Day Award [May 9 each year]
The historical roots of European Union go back to the times of World War II. The idea of European integration was born as a desire to prevent similar crimes and destruction forever. Robert Schuman, the French minister of foreign affaires, presented such a project on May 9, 1950 for the first time. This date is recognized as the birthday of the present European Union and is also celebrated as "European Day" every year. To celebrate this momentous event, the "European Day Award" is issued by the editorial staff of MK QTC.
